Please, note that this event requires a separate registration from the Elementary after-school soccer program. 

The Elementary School mini-tournament is open to all children registered in the KSA after-school soccer Program in all the participating schools. This two-hour event is developmental and emphasizes player development over competition. On the day of the event, the K-2nd grade (U8) teams will be playing against each other, and so will the 3-5 grade teams (U8). In both divisions, the players from the same school will play with each other. Teams will be co-ed and the players will be from the same school. Each player will receive a KSA t-shirt at the beginning of the event and a medal of participation. 

DAY AND TIME: April 27, 9:00 am - 11:00 am

LOCATION: Lynn Family Sport and Vision Center/Lou City and Racing training fields, 

ADDRESS: 2398, Edith Road, Louisville, KY, 40206  

COST: $ 50 (includes T-shirt)

TEAMS  

  • Grades k-2nd and 3-5.

  • The players on the team are from the same school. 

  • Only 3  players will be allowed on the field at one time. 

  • Teams will be co-ed.

  • Players will be assigned a colored vest, and on which field they will play their first game when they pick up their KSA T-shirts at the time of arrival at the school site.

FORMAT 

  • GROUP STAGE. We will play "King of the Court" for a total of 6 rounds. The team that wins moves up the field and the team that loses goes down. The winner on field 1 NEVER moves.

  • FINAL: In round 7, Finals will be played on each field. 

FIELDS: the field size is 30 by 35. 

PARENTS:  Parents are allowed inside and close to the fields to cheer up and support the players. 

WEATHER: We are planning on running the event rain or shine. In the case of thunderstorms or lightning, we will take the kids to the concession stand area. 

VOLUNTEERS: We are looking for volunteers to help with signing in and T-shirts at 8:00am and with field supervision during the games. Please, write gionatan@kickssocceracademy.com if you are interested in taking up these two jobs.
