About the Elementary After-School Soccer Program 

 

"Teaching the Game" Elementary After School Program is an instructional soccer program that creates a fun and safe environment to teach children the game of soccer at the private and JCPS schools' partner location. 

  • The program takes place in the Fall (Sep/ Nov), Winter (Dec/Feb ), and Spring (March/May).
  • Each season lasts 8 weeks. 
  • The working week is Monday through Friday.  
  • The program starts at 2:30, 3:30, and 4:30, depending on the school.

About the SOCCER COACHING JOB 

The coach's responsibilities are: 

  • Set up the soccer fields.
  • Sign in at the designated school 15 minutes before the program begins.
  • Take attendance and review it with the school administration.
  • Deliver soccer instructions.
  • Sign players out at the end of the session.
  • Collect the equipment.

 

The youth coach will be hired as a contract laborer.

The youth coach can work several schools per day,  each day of the week from Monday through Friday. 

A coach can work as a lead coach up to 5 days a week, managing 5 schools. The pay is $ 17.50 /20 per hour, and each shift is paid 1. 5 hours.

Some experience with and passion for working with this age group is necessary, and soccer playing and coaching at a recreational or competitive level is highly recommended. 

The coach must

  • pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check. 
  • have reliable transportation.

KSA will provide the coach with: 

  • Training (video tutorials and on-the-job guidance)
  • Supervision on the Job 
  • curriculum and lesson plan
  • Equipment 
  • Seasonal coaching education meeting
